Matt Pietsch is a Partner at the law firm of Taylor, Pigue, Marchetti & Blair, PLLC, and Associate General Counsel for the Diocese of Nashville. He earned his undergraduate degree in 2001 from Georgetown University and graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law in 2004. Matt is also a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial College at Stanford University and the U.S. Department of Justice National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He previously served as an Assistant State Attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida and as an Assistant District Attorney General in Nashville, Tennessee. Since leaving government service, Matt has been in private practice representing individuals and corporations in complex business, insurance, employment, real estate and professional liability matters. Matt has received an AV Preeminent® rating for ethical standards and legal ability from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers® since 2014. In 2018, Matt was awarded the Best of the Bar Award by the Nashville Business Journal for his work in the area of international law.
