Mark Clark has successfully provided leadership to his clients in litigated matters for over 25 years. Corporations and major insurers have consistently relied on Mark’s trial skills, judgment, and tenacity in the trial and arbitration of their matters. His experience covers energy, marine, environmental spills, and clean up as well as a large spectrum of litigation in the transportation, construction, real estate, and commercial arenas.
Mr. Clark’s representation of clients in environmental matters has stemmed from his work in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. His work involves pollution caused by oil well blowouts, pipeline spills, and vessel accidents that result in the spill of pollutants into the waters and tributaries along the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Clark’s experience spans both clean-up and restoration of polluted land and water as well as the defense of claims for property damage and bodily injury caused by pollutants. In the course of his practice, he has dealt with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality, and the Texas Railroad Commission. He has defended clients in legacy oilfield pollution claims, unlined open pit oil storage claims, and naturally occurring radioactive material claims. Additionally, Mr. Clark has defended oil and gas producers and service companies in actions including, pipeline incidents, loss of tools downhole, product liability claims, oil spills and other casualties. Mr. Clark represents wind power generators in a mass tort action arising from power failures that occurred across Texas during Winter Sorm URI in 2021.
