Dan Steen is the Executive Director of Lawyers for Civil Justice. LCJ advocates on civil litigation rules on behalf of the defense and corporate bars and is honored to count the IADC as a founding member. LCJ members also include leading U.S. companies and preeminent law firms. LCJ advocates on a wide range of litigation rules, including expert evidence, multi-district litigation, privilege logs, class action superiority, third-party litigation funding and privacy protection and cyber security. Prior to his leadership of LCJ, Dan served as Vice President and Counsel, Liability, at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, as Vice President for Government Affairs at Owens-Illinois, Inc. Dan earlier was with the Reed Smith law firm, where his practice was focused on litigation and representation of trade associations. Dan received his law degree from the University of Virginia and his undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington. He is based in Arlington, Virginia.
