William is a Partner in Butler's Tampa office. His practice is concentrated in Construction and Casualty Defense Litigation, and he is the Firm’s Liability Practice Group Leader. William participates in litigation across the state of Florida and is experienced in defending high exposure claims as lead counsel on behalf of individuals and companies, public and private. His vast experience encompasses high exposure construction defect, personal injury and negligent security cases involving violent crimes. William’s remarkable ability to craft a clear roadmap for his clients shows in his results, as he has obtained many favorable results for his clients, including defense verdicts, summary judgments and efficient settlements. His authentic approach not only saves his client’s money, but also provides a sense of security knowing that they are his first priority.
William was the first in his family to graduate college. During law school, William dove into a clerkship with captive counsel for Zurich Insurance, which helped him to ‘hit-the-ground-running’ in the insurance litigation practice. William has more than 25 years of law firm and insurance litigation experience, providing a wealth of valuable insight for those he represents.
William values his Hispanic heritage and helps to cultivate a dynamic culture that thrives on diversity. He is a past Deputy Regional President for Region VIII for the Hispanic National Bar Association and a member of the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association. He also serves on Butler’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and seeks to promote diversity and inclusion of underrepresented classes in the legal industry.
